Took my 3 year old dog here last night. He had GDV (bloat) and his stomach had flipped. They were prompt and professional with the diagnosis. My dog is alive today because of these people. He was taken in for emergency surgery and the operation went flawlessly. He's currently recovering and we've gotten calls from the staff updating us numerous times a day. I can not thank them enough for saving my beloved dogs life.
Brought my cat in to get a mass removed and they said to wait a week before we come back to remove the bandages. So we went somewhere else early and there was an infection in his paw already. We were urged by this new place to get it cleaned and checked DAILY. Never going to this place again. $1,500 to get my cat an infection.
I was very impressed with the confident and informative doctor, the technicians, the front office, and the discharge papers.. Nobody wants to be up all night with a sick dog; nobody wants to spend Sunday morning at the veterinary hospital;. And yes, a morning at the veterinary hospital is very expensive. But by the time I left I was reassured that there was no major life-threatening cause of my dog's illness, and that was worth it. I've done the emergency 25- or 60-mile drive to Red Bank, Tinton Falls, Jackson. It really is great to have such a terrific resource close to home.
I just want to add an update, because of the infection (from their instructions of not removing the bandage for a week) his leg is now being amputated.
I know in an emergency you have to do what you have to do for your animals, but just go there with caution. We paid well over a thousand dollars for their recommendation to take my cats bandage off a week after surgery. When we took him to our regular vet, my cat had a three day old infection because the bandage should have been changed daily. I have paper work from them saying leave the bandages on for a week. Never going back to them again, all they care about is money. We over paid for minimal, and horrible, care.
Yo ... I really paid $1300 for my dog to do everything BUT the surgery he needs to get. Not worth coming here because all they care about is the money not your pet. Don’t waste your time.
